There are so many different carpet types to choose from today. Most people don’t know the term names for the different styles of carpets, or the materials it is made from. Doing a little homework always helps before making that big purchase.

We sometimes put a little too much trust in the sales person or retailer to break it down for us and give us their honest professional opinion and factual information on what we are spending our hard earned money on. It’s hard to find honest sales reps to provide us with the necessary information to make the right choice that’s going suit our needs.

If you already know the flooring style or type you are looking for, then you need to look into the specifications.

Shopping for carpet is like shopping for a new car or truck. You ask yourself questions like, “how many people am I transporting”, “Do I need to get good gas mileage”. When shopping for carpet you must ask yourself these same types of questions. How many people are living at the home, does your home have stairs, do you have any pets. It’s a process of elimination.

Once you have answered these questions, its time to make sure the specifications for the carpet you are shopping matches your needs.
